What is Android Things?

ANDROID THINGS is a platform for building powerful and secure devices for the Internet of Things.
IN THIS WORKSHOP, you will be introduced to developing IoT applications on Android Things.
USING ANDROID STUDIO and an Android Things Starter Kit, you will see how easy it is to use the Android platform to interact with hardware in the real world, and integrate powerful libraries like TensorFlow to perform complex computing at the edge.
What Do You Need?
To join our workshops you will need ––
REGISTRATION PASS:

One session per person.

HARDWARE:
PC, Mac or Linux laptop
(No Chromebooks or tablets.)
SOFTWARE:
The latest version of Android Studio installed and ready to run.
(ex: Android Studio 3.1)

REGISTRATION DETAILS

You may register for one of two Android Things Workshop sessions. The entire training can be completed during a single session.
Only one session allowed per person.
Duplicate registrations will be deleted.
After registering you will be sent a FREE IFA One-Day pass which will allow you to enter the IFA convention and gain access to hall 6.3.
The pass is good for the entire IFA exhibition area and you are invited to use this pass before or after the workshop session you attend.

The .droidcon Academy: Android Things Workshops, will take place during IFA in Berlin on September 4th. There will be 2 workshop sessions, each lasting 2.5-3 hours:
